ABSTRACT

As informed by findings of empirical studies and established conceptual frameworks presented in previous chapters, this chapter maps out and discusses how schools and universities could support students to build various forms of capital in their studying programmes. It critically discusses how human capital has been embedded and measured in the current programmes and what are limitations of the current practices. The chapter proposes activities that schools and universities should undertake to create opportunities for students to enhance forms of capital beyond human capital. These activities should be embedded in teaching and learning programmes and support services as well as extra-curricular programmes.
