ABSTRACT
This paper aims to provide an overview of the Italian prison system’s response to the COVID-19 crisis. It contains the studies conducted through enquires into social, criminological and also juridical aspects. Since the COVID-19 emergency represents an evolving situation, the research offers a snapshot of the problem that may change.
