ABSTRACT

Hospitality developers are always looking for newer and less saturated markets and the Middle East (ME) region offers great investment potential. However, the regional environment has created differences in concept, technical and design, financing, ownership, building and operations. The authors suggest that, as in other regions hospitality real estate assets should be sustainable, functional and design-focused. However, regional reconciliation and political and diplomatic efforts provide the key to the establishment of a stable environment for hospitality development and investment in future.
