The analysis of the SCO regulatory and legal documents is carried out, in particular, the provisions regulating road and rail modes of transport, the prospects and opportunities that are afforded as a result of signing bilateral and multilateral agreements between the members of the Organization are outlined. The authors describe the current state of international transport and communication routes, as well as reveal the measures taken by Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to create new and modernize existing road and railway routes on the territories of the member and neighboring states.

Considering the issue of pairing modern Eurasian mechanisms of interstate interaction in terms of creating and improving transport and logistics infrastructure, the authors note the possibility of implementing initiatives of Russia and China on the SCO platform. According to the authors, combining the potential of such integration projects as the EAEU and the SREB on the SCO platform will allow creating a new model of economic cooperation in the triangle “Russia - China - Central Asia”.

In conclusion, it is indicated that the positive results of the development of the SCO transport and logistics sphere can be achieved and fully implemented if the member states will be ready to build mutually beneficial relations and implement a coordinated policy within the framework of the single economic and transport space.
