ABSTRACT
The goals for this chapter are to support you to:
Understand the importance of school science education in Australia and the role of curriculum
Understand the purpose of science-curriculum documents and how they can inform practice at a planning level
Be familiar with the rationale, scope and sequence of the Australian Curriculum in science, including the opportunities in the general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities
