ABSTRACT

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with a very complex political system and the structure of the national Parliament as well as the parliamentary administration reflects this complexity. Civil servants employed in the Parlamentarna skupstina Bosne i Hercegovine (PABiH) can, in a hierarchical sense, be managerial civil servants such as Heads of Departments and Secretaries of Commissions, and other civil servants such as heads of sections, advisors, senior officers, and officers. Civil servants in the parliamentary administration have permanent contracts and are assigned a specific position by an administrative act, in accordance with provisions and the Law on Civil Service in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The PABiH is involved in a range of bilateral and multilateral activities as laid out in the Houses’ Rules of Procedure and the Rulebook on International Activities. Protective measures for Bosne i Hercegovine institution include increased disinfection of premises, social distancing, wearing face coverings, and at times working in shifts.
