The list of ambitious policies and plans that municipalities around the Global North have in place to achieve their climate and other environmental goals is long and reflects the growing global orthodoxy of urban greening. In Barcelona's Sants-Montjuïc district, To Green or Not to Green offers a testimony about the city's decision in February 2019 to renew the contract of the Fira de Barcelona, the city's international trade fair, without public consultation. In The Green City and Social Injustice, the authors define green interventions as small- or large-scale nature-based infrastructure and amenities such as parks, municipal or community gardens, greenbelts and greenways, raingardens and bioswales, green roofs and walls, green streets and alleys or restored waterways.
