ABSTRACT

The concepts of a market economy shaped in the 21st century and the solutions of Industry 4.0 implemented to them alongside traditional factors of economic development, increasingly take into account knowledge. Knowledge and innovation management has been identified as a critical challenge for the knowledge economy. It stems from the needs of increasing competition and customer requirements, as well as from emerging new market areas. The emergence of the electromobility megatrend has triggered several political and legal initiatives to facilitate this process. The development of electromobility requires the use of advanced IT solutions based on blockchain technology or the industrial Internet of Things, which involves an innovative energy system, smart electric vehicle charging stations (ICS EV), a heterogeneous electric vehicle fleet (EV). Developed especially in urban areas, it contributes to sustainable transport and climate and environmentally-friendly mobility. The article brings closer the topic of knowledge management and technological innovation in electromobility. Through a case study, it shows how the local government units (the City of Szczecin) implement electromobility-related Innovations 4.0.
