ABSTRACT

Black women faculty embody wide-ranging stories and enact varied epistemologies and praxis that inform their daily lives, advocacy, content they each, and decisions to engage others in their work. This chapter utilizes theories of positionality and intersectionality, as well as a critical race feminism framing to showcase interdisciplinary voices and practices in teaching, through the experiences of three Black women faculty. This chapter (re)centers the voices of Black women in the academy by demonstrating how they contribute to the advancement of teaching and learning.
