ABSTRACT

In COVID 19, every organization realizes the importance of the Big Data, digitalization and business intelligence (BI). The business environment is very challenging today, especially after the pandemic of COVID 19. Therefore, under this scenario, BI is imperative for business organizations to fetch the important statistics, facts and data. This study uses a descriptive method to systematically review the recent research and academic papers in BI scholarship to classify and prioritize the concepts and approaches of BI. Our findings intend to inform the existing researchers and enable the future research directions in developing the applications and relational models in the context of ever changing business environment and business models and thus create sustainable competitive advantage. The paper contains five sections. The first, introductory section, systematically reviews the literature and establishes the significance of BI. The second section provides the intellectual structure of the concept of BI. The third section outlines the implications of BI for HR architecture, HR practices and HR professionals. The fourth section highlights the significance and the factors affecting HR, IT fit, and the final and concluding section draws the learnings and practical guidelines to the practicing managers intending to capatilize on BI to make agile and resilient organizations.
