ABSTRACT
1932 was a fateful year in German history. After several attempts to form a cabinet which was capable of governing had foundered, the president, field Marshal von Hindenburg was forced to nominate Adolf Hitler as chancellor and to ask him to form a new government. During the Russian winter offensive Hitler gave a sudden order that villages be demolished so as to create a clear zone between us and the oncoming Russians. It was hoped to win time by destroying all shelter. The armaments industry is visibly shrinking, fuel supplies are being exhausted, and as a result the German armies will very soon be crippled. For every dictator maintains a network of secret police, deceives the people with one-sided propaganda and raises the standard of living at the expense of ‘inferior races’ in order to tame the will of the people.
