ABSTRACT
Kate Summerscale (1965–) is from London, but also lived in Japan and Chile as a child. She worked at various magazines and newspapers, including The Daily Telegraph, before becoming a full-time writer. Her books include The Suspicions of Mr Whicher (2008), which was adapted for television, and The Haunting of Alma Fielding (2020).
