ABSTRACT

Comprehensive, normalized, and positive sexuality education is needed to influence young people in a way that results in the highest possible positive sexual health outcomes as they progress into adulthood. Further, understanding the perceptions associated with sexual behavior is crucial to developing programming that meets the needs of young people. Based on research collected from a sample of the millennial population, this chapter will discuss these perceptions specifically in the context of the guidelines and best practices presented by the American College Health Association and the implications these perceptions may have on future generations.
