ABSTRACT

The internationalization of Moroccan higher education is on the rise and is becoming more and more strategic. Moroccan universities are trying hard to position themselves on the international scale through dynamic exchange programs with many parts of the world. The aim of this chapter is to discuss the current state of the internationalization of Moroccan higher education, as well as the challenges the process is facing. The methodology is based on documentary research, and on the analysis and interpretation of data from different sources. The results reveal the main achievements of all the components of internationalization as well as a series of their intended and unintended consequences. The chapter concludes with some recommendations for improvement.
