ABSTRACT
This chapter will address how White play therapists can raise awareness, operate with cultural comfort, and embrace cultural opportunities with children of similar or different races. Authors will specifically address characteristics of White play therapists that may interfere with their ability to fully respond to the needs of children regarding cultural/race issues. Finally, the authors will provide recommendations for White play therapists to effectively seize cultural opportunities to increase their effectiveness with children across cultures.
