ABSTRACT

This chapter places studies on men, masculinities, organizations and organizing within changing agendas of feminist research, relevant to new circumstances and continuing struggles for gender equality, above all the increasing recognition of feminist thought and activism from countries in the Global South. Changes have occurred in the object of knowledge, with managerial transformation of organizations and the growth of global trade, capital markets and the power of transnational corporations. The field of gender politics has been reconfigured with the rise of authoritarian regimes and refurbished patriarchies in major parts of the world. In such circumstances, creativity and imagination as well as worldwide cooperation is needed in research for gender justice.
