ABSTRACT

In her chapter ‘Being Human in a Technology-driven World: Checkmate or Opportunity for Social Responsibility?’, Professor Anita L. Cloete of Stellenbosch University in South Africa describes a vision of life that is increasingly altered by technology and compares it with the vison of Christian theology. This chapter considers the complex relationship between technology and being human from an especially Christian theological perspective. It concludes with some suggestions on theological and spiritual practices in everyday living.
