Technology has been core to the development of the fashion and textiles industries. Professor Natascha Radclyffe-Thomas of the British School of Fashion, Glasgow Caledonian University London in the United Kingdom, in her chapter ‘Technology and Fashion: Fashioning Technology – Science, Selfs and Systems’, reviews the trends and technological innovations in the production (smart textiles, 3D printing, etc.), promotion (social media, online communities, etc.), and consumption (e-commerce, market analytics, etc.) of fashion. This chapter concludes with thoughts on the role of technology in the future fashion industry.
