The COVID-19 pandemic has created immediate and daunting challenges to organizations, providing a desirable context to examine change management. This case study thus explores how RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey's largest and most comprehensive academic healthcare system, has managed its internal communication programs during COVID-19. Interviews were conducted with communication leaders in this organization to obtain a managerial perspective on how this healthcare organization has designed and implemented its change communication programs. Specifically, this study investigates how RWJBarnabas Health managed its internal communication programs to foster employee engagement through transparent communication and organizational identity.
