ABSTRACT

This chapter asserts that the organization for which you work needs to fully support the BACB ethics code. “Fully support” means that everyone, not just the behavior analysts, need to be aware of and follow basic ethics guidelines. A history of this movement is presented starting with the Code of Ethics for Behavioral Organizations, which was initially developed by the first author and then expanded by Adam Ventura. This was later adopted by Behavioral Health Center of Excellence and incorporated into their accreditation process. There are now over 600 organizations nationwide that now fully support ethics guidelines. Working at one of these organizations means that as a behavior analyst you will be part of an ethical organization. The ten-item list of ethics guidelines is included in this chapter.
