ABSTRACT
Protective and stabilizing factors offer a counterbalance to risk factors for white supremacist violence. This chapter explores these factors and how they can balance the risk factors and prevent radicalization and violence. We look at the scope of protective factors and how exploring these factors is an important part of any violence risk assessment. Five key protective factors are described with threat assessment questions provided related to each.
