ABSTRACT

This chapter provides three case studies related to white supremacist thought and indoctrination. Hank is a high school junior who, along with some friends, has begun to openly discuss white supremacist ideology in their school and use racists slurs against other students. Jesse is a college student who engages in debate and arguments with social justice groups and in the classroom, defending the principles of the white supremacist movement. Finally, Dawson is a community college student who is deeply connected to the white supremacist movement and is openly talking and recruiting others to his cause. Each case includes discussion questions, and these cases will be referenced and explored later in the text.
