ABSTRACT
The chapter begins with a review of co-author Dr. Brian Van Brunt’s previous writing in the area of risk factors and violence risk assessments. The chapter goes on to define the different types of violence and threats. After describing different qualities that a threat contains, the chapter details 13 risk factors that are commonly seen in targeted violence. Included for each factor is a list of those cases in Chapter 7 where the factor is clearly present.
