ABSTRACT
There have been times, perhaps, when others of the reader have known within ourselves this increased and enhanced creativity beyond their usual, because of participation in a group which was especially meaningful to the reader—when ‘the sense of freedom to explore possibilities, the devotion to elegant solutions, and the interplay among the members’ strengthened each and all of the reader. It is true of all small groups, but especially clear and notable in those formed for educational purposes, that the crucial ambiguity is that of dependence—interdependence. The group of learners and the teacher come together by educational ‘contract’ which consists in essence of and is bounded by the educational objectives. The intuitive and the artistic must ever be within the person of the teacher in the act of teaching.
