ABSTRACT

In this conclusion, we describe how the different chapters of the book help us to answer the main research questions that structured the DEMETER project. These questions provide different perspectives on the impacts of land and agricultural commercialization in Ghana and Cambodia and their dynamic relationship with norms, policies, and practices connected to gender, food security, and the right to food. Emphasizing the differences and similarities between and within each country in terms of the availability, accessibility, and adequacy of food, we examine the implications of our findings for future research and policies.
