ABSTRACT

Tina Landau is an interdisciplinary theatre artist whose prolific career defies categorization. As a director, some of her most accomplished productions are the 2002 revival of William Saroyan’s classic play The Time of Your Life (1939), Tracy Letts’s Superior Donuts (2008), and The SpongeBob Musical, which won her the Tony Award for Best Director. Her most sustained collaboration has been with playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney, and she has directed several of his world premieres, including Wig Out! (2008), The Brother/Sister Plays (2009), Head of Passes (2013), and Ms. Blakk for President (2019).
