ABSTRACT

This section examines the development of physical education at schools in China from kindergartens to universities. It focuses on the transformation of schools’ sports policies and practices in China. It gives a critical analysis of current issues surrounding physical education at schools, such as inaccurate understanding of physical education goals, the shortage of physical education resources, and the use of simplistic teaching methods. Although problems still exist, this section clarifies the value of physical education in schools and provides ways to integrate health, culture, and science into future physical education in China.
