ABSTRACT
This chapter describes how teachers and schools assess learning in different countries such as Germany, Finland, and Canada. It mainly focuses on reference standards and their practicability to give feedback and enhance learning. We discuss central aspects why using reference standards can make a difference and how countries may learn from each other. Performance evaluation is considered for its impact on inclusive education policies in each country.
