ABSTRACT

We hope you have enjoyed engaging with the various topics and methodologies covered in this book, and that you took some time to pause and reflect your own pain and suffering, particularly when, where, and how you would share your pain and suffering with others in an authentic way that can be therapeutic and transformative. These are conversations that need ongoing discussions. Therefore, we hope as a reader through your journey of engaging with this book and its ideas, you feel part of the community that with intentionality and resiliency will disrupt oppression in educational contexts and advocate for counternarratives of pain and suffering as critical pedagogy. We conclude this book with a poem written by Ardavan Eizadirad bringing together the big ideas and themes discussed.
