ABSTRACT

This chapter presents some data on cemeteries in Poland: the state of preservation and the number of facilities by voivodeships (regions). It also explains the characteristics of the three main types of cemeteries: municipal, war, and religious, taking into account a number of well-known objects. In addition, it provides information on the arrangement of graves in Poland (common solutions and types) and on the participation of the stone mason industry in the arrangement of burial sites.
