ABSTRACT

This chapter revisits the results of preceding case studies and considers common themes that have emerged across the chapters. Topics of boundary spanning and enduring partnerships are highlighted as considerations that are notable in the field of climate collaborations. While case studies showed that many themes typical of collaborations in general – trust building, time management, communication – emerged within the specific context of researcher–practitioner collaboration for climate resilience, these noted topics hold particular relevance in this area. The details of case studies are considered cohesively to inform next steps and recommended future directions that climate collaborations themselves, as well as the study and characterization of those collaborations, might take moving forward.
