ABSTRACT
In this chapter, David Blough gives a description of how one sport for development nonprofit organization initiated a dynamic mechanism to reexamine and increase its capabilities with respect to social innovation (SI). SI through sport can be implemented in various ways. Technology can be a powerful medium for creating new solutions. Innovative structures of cooperation between different organizations may also help bridge the gap between an unmet social need and a new program. By way of the Playlab, PLAY has chosen to focus on the development of new pedagogical solutions, mainly in the field of education, psychosocial support and social inclusion.
