ABSTRACT
One of the single most important aspects of culture is that group members share it. Although shared, culture itself is not monolithic, and there is always some degree of intra-cultural variability. Thus, the study of culture and its variation involves an exploratory and explanatory phrase. This lesson will cover the exploratory phase of the process for the collection and development of cultural materials for the study of culture.
