A Strategy to Practice Moderating in Focus Groups

This chapter describes a technique for training students how to moderate focus groups. During a practice focus group, the students take turns asking questions as the moderator and answering questions as participants. It works best with six to seven students in a group and requires a pre-written set of questions for the moderators to ask.
