ABSTRACT
Connecting the personal to the cultural. Using I or the first-person voice, auto-ethnographers look through an ethnographic wide-angle lens, focusing outward on social aspects of personal experience; then inward, exposing a vulnerable self, shaped by cultural diversity. Autoethnography should be evaluated through two lenses, science and art.
