ABSTRACT
This lesson demonstrates one analytic approach for developing a codebook for a case participant. First, students will review an example of an interview transcript excerpt, from in vivo code selection to codebook generation. Next, students will replicate the analytic process to develop a codebook for a second case participant’s interview transcript excerpt, then consolidate the two case participants’ codebooks into one codebook.
