ABSTRACT
Indexicality is a core theoretical concept in discourse analysis. Its abstractness can be intimidating, but this lesson breaks indexicality down so that students can easily study it on their own. Through readings, discussions, and hands-on activities, this lesson helps demystify indexicality in the study of identity in interaction.
