ABSTRACT

The journal has, by the yardstick of global citation rankings, blossomed into a leading academic forum for debate over the meaning of environmental politics, even as scholarship in our field has become increasingly visible across a range of academic publishing venues in political science, political sociology, and political theory. Our approach is reflected in the new expanded Aims and Scope of the journal, which now heartily welcomes contributions from and about environmental politics across the globe, with a view towards inclusivity and mindful of shifting locations of power and influence. This special issue emerged from a workshop organised in summer 2019. The workshop was motivated by various principal aims. Many also call for new research agendas that would revitalise conversations about justice that environmental politics scholars have been having for decades. The chapter also presents an overview of the key concepts discussed in this book.
