ABSTRACT

The Coda begins with the editor of the Routledge Pandemic series reflecting on his personal experience of COVID-19 before offering insight into his reading of the essays in Creative Resilience and COVID-19: Figuring the Everyday during a Pandemic. These essays reveal how creative and cultural expressions respond to adversity and crisis, both articulating the pandemic and offering narratives of coping. Thatmic crisis as it is for the evolving era that many have come to call the post-pandemic era, when vaccinations give us new hope. Looking into the future with a cautious sense of optimism, the coda highlights that the pandemic has indeed done much to highlight our global interconnectedness. While highlighting the increase in inequalities around the world, the coda ends with a call to action to help cure not only the medical but also the social issues that plague our world.
