ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses strategies librarians can use to support annotated bibliographies outside of credit-bearing instructional contexts. This chapter discusses five areas where librarians can help with annotated bibliography assignments: single-session support; reference desk work; the production of educational materials; faculty liaison and outreach; and collaboration with campus offices. The advice in this chapter is practical, and it is mostly derived from Luke Beatty’s experience helping students with their annotated bibliography assignments outside of the classroom.
