ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the ways that employing a process of historical inquiry can enable the surfacing of social inequities and injustices that exist and affords new opportunities to address the marginalization of previously silenced histories. Using the history of cosmetic surgery as a starting point, it urges readers to take up the process of historical inquiry to move forward social justice efforts.
