ABSTRACT

The great changes in civilisation, in the way of organising society and in the relationship with the natural and productive world, are combined with changes in personal identity. Following Rifkin’s schema on social evolution and the growth of humanity’s empathic capacity, we have seen the human race develop methods of care that have progressively approximated a form of social love. Today not even the biosphere or the animal world is foreign, because humanity has broadened the sense and actions of care.
