ABSTRACT
This chapter includes the digital drawing entitled Light of a New Day. It is a self-portrait of the artist during a journey of recovery. After being diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma the artist struggled with eating, swallowing, and with depression. The drawing is one of hope as he used art on his journey back to health and wellness.
