ABSTRACT

This chapter will provide an overview to this book and establish a theoretical framework for a better understanding of the nature of women leader agendas that will enhance higher education systems. Theoretical frameworks include Critical Theory, Intersectionality, Feminist Theory, and Transformational Leadership agendas. Summary reviews of the chapters are included. The purpose of these chapters is to give voice to the women leaders about success and challenges that they encounter in higher education organizations. Using case studies and other empirical research, this book presents a broad and in-depth overview on a variety of women leader in higher education issues to assist educators in the process of transforming organizations integrating innovative approaches to make improvements.
