ABSTRACT

The Halal industry has connectivity with the logistics industry covering operations in ports, warehousing and material handling facilities. The Malaysian government has proposed many initiatives to encourage the Halal industry. Previous researches have shown that those implementing Halal logistics in daily operation experience a few difficulties. Although many academic research papers highlight Halal logistics and critical success factors, Halal logistics in Malaysia is still experiencing a hiccup. This chapter highlights a few simple ways of implementing Halal logistics, supply chains and quality control that could enhance the total implementation concept at the very least cost to create benefit to all society. The chapter also deals with a few possible implementations and practice aspects to facilitate the Halal logistics approach in daily operation towards Malaysian practices.
