ABSTRACT

This chapter explains knowledge management and digitalization in an Islamic view, which may offer a different perspective from that of other religions. Islam encourages implementation of knowledge management for an individual or an organization that could improve personal or organizational competencies and development. These have been highlighted and emphasized by the verses in the Al-Qur’an and other Muslim scholars’ opinions. Meanwhile, digitalization in Islam is a crucial element that could expedite the learning process, creativity, and innovativeness. Both knowledge management and digitalization are meant to obtain the blessing of God Almighty (Allah SWT) and achieve a better life in this world and the hereafter. This chapter adopts a content descriptive analysis that elaborates on and discusses knowledge management and digitalization in Islam, as well as the issues that arise. This shows that Islam, in general, governs everything in life, including matters related to science and technology.
