ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the role of online learning is discussed in detail, with a particular focus on the developments and emerging trends of recent times and the impact of COVID-19. The author provides a review of traditional online courses and delivery models and then moves through current practice to future opportunities. Issues of accreditation and recognition are clearly discussed in the chapter and the possible implications for transnational education provision and delivery are explored.
