ABSTRACT
While the main effects of Brexit are felt in the United Kingdom (UK), the UK's withdrawal from Europe provides a rare opportunity to study the effects of counter-regionalism on higher education. In an age of increasing popularism and nationalism, narrow national concerns are a real threat to higher education which aspires for global reach.
