ABSTRACT

Chapter 9 is testament to the skills of occupational therapists in converting Recovery Through Activity for use with individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The programme was delivered in the north-east of England, either over the phone or via a virtual platform. It was condensed to eight weekly sessions of 45–60 minutes each, including an introductory and an evaluative session. The therapists intend to provide the option of individualised programmes as a matter of routine with people who experience anxiety or agoraphobia, or who do not feel ready for a group session, but would benefit from exploring activities within their own social and physical environments.
