ABSTRACT
During her work at the Medical Foundation for Victims of Torture (now Freedom from Torture) Levy ran a therapeutic football group. In the details she gives about the members of this group and the experience for the therapist of running it, she captures the hope and resilience that the game of football allows its players to reconnect with after such experiences of sadism and brutality.
